Recommended for interlining curtains made up in fabric with a white background it is deal for those who want to make traditional full-length curtains fitted at tall windows. Also suitable for curtains fitted at window in old properties where you need to exclude draughts.
This white heavy bump interlining is pre-shrunk; made of 90% cotton 10% polyester warf. This bump interlining has a maximum shrinkage of 4% only compared to 10 % for non-preshrunk bump interlining.
Interlining fabric is sewn between the curtain face fabric and the lining. Interlining improves the drape and hang of the curtains, protects the fabric from harmful sunlight and provides insulation. Bump interlining is a heavy, loosely woven interlining fabric which is brushed to give a lofty feel.
Please note: When subjected to damp conditions interlining may shrink at a different rate to the face and lining fabrics. If this happens the differential shrinkage will affect the hang of the curtain. When using light fabrics it is possible, in daylight, to 'see through' the bump and slight weave irregularities may be visible.
